A group of over 80 people from the field of arts also recently joined the party and were unveiled for the whole world to see. The latest entrants who joined Bobi Wine under NUP are the 10 Members of Parliament  from Democratic Party, DP (DP Bloc) on Thursday.

The 10 MPs who include Mathias Mpuuga, Joseph Ssewungu, Medard Ssegona, Betty Nambooze, Muwanga Kivumbi , Allan Ssewanyana, Ssempala Kigozi, Ssentongo Robinah, Veronica Namaganda and Florence Namayanja didn’t join alone but also with others from DP though not MPs, including veteran singer Jose Chameleone who is the party’s chief mobliser, and is one of the Kampala City Mayoral aspirants come next year.

The Leone Island together with the others were unveiled  on Thursday at NUP offices and handed their membership cards .

Meanwhile, Chameleone’s alliance with NUP comes in at a time when his cooperation with Bobi Wine and People Power is at its peak and he has not once or twice been seen at People Power gatherings.
