Justine Nameere wants Sh 500M from Farida Nakazibwe for Defamation and other damages.

TV personality Nameere Justine through her lawyers F.X Ogwado & company Advocates has issued a notice of intention to sue NTV Uganda ‘s Faridah Nakazibwe for defamation, harassment and cyber offences which is against the computer misuse act.

Nameere wants Faridah to do the following within five days from the date of issue of the letter;

  1. Pay a sum of Shs. 500,000,000 as damages for psychological torment and injured reputation.
  2. Write in “Bold letters” an apology addressed to Justine Nameere and publicly publish it using the same platform she used to defame her (facebook).
  3. Pay all legal costs incurred by her (Justine Nameere) in pursuit of the matter so far.

For a long time, Nameere has been threatening Farida with lawsuits until Friday when she has come out to show her real characters. It should be noted that In a hard-hitting Facebook post, Nakazibwe claimed that  for over one and a half years now, Nameere has been on her case by tarnishing her name. Nameere created over 10 pseudo accounts which she has been using to malign her (Nakazibwe) in the face of her husband a one Omar Ssali by telling him how she is a prostitute who sleeps with all kinds of men for money and favours. She says the former NTV employee has done more harm than good through tapping her phones, hacking her Facebook and email accounts.

The battle lines have been drawn. It’s now Farida’s turn to respond to the above papers

Nakazibwe further revealed that Nameere reached an extent of offering her friends money in exchange for information about her (Nakazibwe), stalked her on TV, office and along the way home but still failed to prove her alleged infidelity. However, Justine Nameera denied the allegations and left the dust all over the online streets!

It is said that efforts to sort out their differences amicably were futile as Nameere could not get hold of Fairdah who keep avoiding her. We wait for events as they unfold in court.
