Former Uganda cranes coach Moses Basena who is now the assistant coach to Desabre and Goalkeeping coach Fred Kajoba are fully certified to coach after undertaking a coaching course in the US.

The two have been at MLS side New York Red Bulls since February this year on the invite of former Uganda Cranes skipper Ibrahim Sekagya who works there.

After completing their course, Sekagya took the imperative to congratulate them in a post on Facebook where he said he hoped they both picked the very best out of the course, enjoyed it and loved the hospitality.

“I would to take this opportunity to thank my seniors; Coach Kajjoba Fred & Coach Moses Basena for honoring my invite; I truly appreciate your coming. It was really a great gesture, having you around the Redbulls family. For the love of the game; I hope you picked the very best out of it, enjoyed & loved the hospitality. The beautiful game is all about learning & exchanging new Ideas. Hope to see you again” Sekagya posted.

The three worked together on the Uganda Cranes previous campaigns before Desabre took charge of the National Football team. They were interim coaches after Micho quit and many thought they would take on the jobs fully which wasn’t the case.
