The Duke of Cambridge ‘Prince William’ and his wife the Duchess of Cambridge ‘Kate Middleton’ are expecting their second baby.
This only means that Prince Harry will be dropped to fifth in the line of succession after the child is born next year, regardless whether it’s a boy or girl, it will take Harry’s Fourth place.
Prince Harry, who will unlikely ever become King, has plenty of work that keeps him busy. He’s heavily involved in army duties and charities like Sentebale, which he co-founded to support orphaned children in Africa.
William and Kate’s new baby who will be a great grandchild to the queen, will also not be expected to crowned sovereign.
The new baby will automatically be the fourth in the line to the throne of Britain and 15 other Commonwealth nations following his father and grandfather, the Duke of Cambridge and the Prince of Wales respectively.
It is understood that William’s father, Prince of Wales Charles’, and his wife the Duchess of Cornwall, only found out about the pregnancy in the last few days.
According to sources: ‘The couple only found out very recently. The Duchess has not even reached the crucial 12-week stage.’
‘But when it became apparent that she was no well enough to join the Duke on a joint engagement in Oxford today and that the number of forthcoming engagements could be affected, the Duke and Duchess have taken the difficult decision to be fully open about the pregnancy.’
In a statement that was released by the palace: ‘Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Cambridge is expecting their second child. The Queen and members of both families are delighted with the news. As with her first pregnancy, The Duchess is suffering from hyperemesis gravidarum.
‘Her Royal Highness will no longer accompany The Duke of Cambridge on their planned engagement in Oxford today. The Duchess is being treated by doctors at Kensington Palace.’
