KCCA’s Executive Director (ED), Jennifer Musisi from now hence-forth has added another title to her description after being honored with a Ph.D.
The KCCA boss can now be called Doctor after receiving the Honorary, Doctoral degree in Humanities, Philosophiae Doctor (Ph.D) from the United Graduate College and Seminary based in Jonesborough, Tennessee, USA. She awarded the honors because of her exemplary work at othe helm of KCCA during her tenure.
The ceremony presided over by Prof. Clyde Rivers (Ph.D), Prof Arch. Bishop Arthur Kitonga, Prof Nathan Kahara and Prof Bonny Katatumba (Ph.D) took place at the Kampala Serena Hotel yesterday.
“Doctor Jennifer Semakula Musisi, I am humbled,” Musisi posted on her social media platforms.
An honorary degree is awarded to elite leaders who demonstrate great character and have proven extraordinary achievements and service to their communities, countries or the world as a mark of esteem.
Other notable people that were awarded include Dr Margaret Sekidde, Dr Apollo Mutungi, Dr Kellen Kayonga, Dr Bishop Joshua Lwere, Dr Mayur Muljibhai Madhvani, Dr Aneez Bandali Jaffer, Dr Elly Twineyo Kamugisha, and Dr Jeff Jeng Liang Lin.
The UGCSI was founded in 1982 and runs across 50 Nations Worldwide. The College has also had recipients of Honour as Former President of Mozambique, H.E. Joaquim Chissano, President Laurent Gbagbo of Ivory Coast, Former president Olusegun Obasanjo of Nigeria First lady of the Republic of Burundi, Denise Nkurunziza with an Honorary Ph.D in Humanities among other influential figures.
