It is already seven years since Jennifer Musisi took charge of Kampala City Council Authority in a tenure that has been full of ups and downs. Her time in office was extended further and the celebrations of this milestone will be done later this year.

The Executive Director has decided to have a triple celebration starting on the 5th to the 7th of October as part of the Kampala City Council Authority Carnival.

She will be celebrating her vote of confidence, KCCA making seven years and then the city carnival.

The launch of the carnival themed “Celebrating 7 years of KCCA.” was held yesterday Wednesday morning the 30th of May at KCCA headquarters and Executive Director Jennifer Musisi thanked her partners for believing in the cause of the festival.

This year’s carnival is mainly going to be aimed at renovating schools and the budget for the organizations of this edition is going to cost Ug Shs 1.9 billion.

“Like it or not, the future of this country depends on the children we are raising, so let us work together to improve their lives,” she said.

She also added that the main focus for this year is to remove asbestos rooftops because they cause cancer.
