It is one thing being a household name but it’s totally another thing appearing different from people’s perspective. This is what happened to American rapper Rick Ross when he touched down in Kenya ahead of his high-end party in the capital Nairobi later today.
William Leonard Roberts II, known professionally by his stage name Rick Ross surprised everyone by his physical appearance which is too different from how he looks on TV and in the pictures that are in the media.
Just like Ugandans when it comes to social media, Kenyans are another group of people never to joke with and they did what they do best, troll the rapper over his looks that are completely different.
“Honestly this is not Rick Ross. This is his cousin from Zimbabwe. Can you see the difference”, was one tweet while another said. ”Something ain’t adding up, is this the same person? “Among other tweets now trending about the burly rapper.
This comes after social media went ablaze by the rappers demands before he performs in Kenya which includes 30 round trip air tickets, including 10 first class tickets, a helicopter to facilitate travel during interview appearances and transportation to the concert venue for the ‘Boss’. The rapper was also said to have asked for 3,500 bottles of his premium Luc Belaire brand champagne, 1,500 fresh towels and 200 bottles of lemon flavoured water and then in addition to reservation of three floors of a five-star hotel with a round-the-clock-services of ‘a butler and a personal chef’.
However, this was rubbished by both the rapper and the organizers of the show. According to NRG Wave, the main organizers of the party, the list misrepresents the terms of the contract signed with the American superstar.
‘‘The article misrepresents the terms of the contract we signed with the Boss’ management team,’‘reads part of the statement denying the demands.
