Kenya’s Deputy President William Ruto For Young Achievers Awards As Kenzo, Rema Face-off

The Young Achievers Awards (YAA) 2018 takes place this evening as all roads lead to Kampala Serena Hotel where the awards will be celebrating  its 5th edition at the Kampala Serena Conference Center under the theme “Rewarding Innovation And Excellence Recognizing of Young Entrepreneurs and Inspiring the Next Generation of world Leaders”.

This year’s Young Achiever Award is organized by the by Reach A Hand Uganda, a youth centered organization focusing on youth empowerment programs with an emphasis on Livelihoods & Skills Development, Behavior Change Communication, Sexual Reproductive Health & Rights, and HIV/AIDS awareness and prevention.

His Excellency, Deputy President of Kenya, William S. Ruto will deliver the Keynote address at this years edition of Young Achieves Awards.

His Excellency, Deputy President of Kenya, William S. Ruto will deliver the Keynote address. He will also be the recipient of the 2018 Lifetime Achievement Award. He joins other prominent East Africans who have been recipients of this Award, including Presidents Yoweri Museveni of Uganda and Paul Kagame of republic of Rwanda, entrepreneur and industrialist Late James Mulwana, educationist Prof Senteza Kajubi, social justice campaigner, Noelina Kareeba, and Tanzanian Businessman and philanthropist Ali Mufuruki.

Family: Kenzo and Rema were nominated in the same category.

Meanwhile, the subplot and highlight for this year is one which sees entertainment power couple of Eddie Kenzo and Rema Namakula pitied against each other  in the Young Achievers Award for Performing Arts category where they will face off with Ivan Mulumba (author), H2C Dance Group and Felix Byaruhanga(founder The Tribe UG).
