Fallen Uganda Cranes goalkeeper Abbey Dhaira who passed on over the weekend sent a touching message to his fans before he passed on which has been shared on social media ahead of Uganda Cranes match with Burkina Faso in Namboole later today.
The recorded message which was meant to drum support for his fundraising drive and thank fans for the contributions, unfortunately has turned into a very painful ‘good bye’ message as a visibly frail Dhaira struggled to put the words together as he tried to be in good spirits in the video clip.
The talented shot-stopper, later on Sunday breathed his last after succumbing to cancer and now his message which has gone viral is being used by fans to drum support for tonight’s’ game as they honor the fallen soldier.
“I want to thank all the people involved in organising this. It will be the most important day of my life and will help raise awareness for cancer too”
