Maddox last staged a concert in 2001 when he had just returned to Uganda and it was highly attended going by the fact that his Namagembe album was on heaving rotation.

He recorded his second album two years later and the artiste hasn’t recorded anything in 15 years but the love he has been receiving has been overwhelming.

His career almost came to an end when it was reported that drugs had taken the best of him but he bounced back. It was at this point that events promoters decided to use him as the headlining act on most of their shows like Qwela Junction, Tula Ku Mukeka, Roast and Rhyme among others.
