Now in its second year running, the Tokosa Food Festival has returned but this time round, 10% of the proceeds will go to charity identifying the ‘Bless a child foundation’, which provides improved childhood cancer care services for terminally ill children.
Speaking at a press conference that took place a few days ago at Legends ground, which will also be the venue for this year’s event slated for the 24th of April, Hans Paulsen, the Vivo Energy Managing Director said. “One thing to point out in this year’s ‘Tokosa food festival’ is that the shs10,000 entry fee will not only get you to eat a delicious meal, but it will also help a child out there who is deeply in need.”
Janzi band and Lilian Mbabazi will headline the day’s entertainment. However, other activities to take place include cooking competitions from celebrities, bachelors, couples, divas and CEO’s. There will also be eating competition and exciting activities like games in the kid’s corner. Shell gas will be available on special offer and to promote culinary excellence, the best restaurant of the day will also be awarded.
Over 20 restaurants and food industry players will showcase their signature dishes, both local and international and the event is a platform to celebrate the growing vibrant food culture in Uganda.
