Lilian Mbabazi To Get ‘Up close And Personal’ With Fans

Her sultry sweet voice and confidence has kept her going even after the painful disintegration of her budding girl group Blu3. She found solace in her band The Sundowners and now time is ripe for the multi-talented Ugandan Afro-soul singer Lilian Mbabazi to shine and be counted among the top artistes.

The ‘Kawa Kawa’ singer has been quietly working on projects and developing her solo career which started at a slow pace because of a variety of personal reasons after her other former colleagues Cinderella Sanyu and Jackie Chandiru took the airwaves by storm with songs that were doing well although also facing challenges in their private lives as well.

Lilian who took her time to really kick-start what would eventually become a solid solo career was entertaining her fans with her young Band and spending most of her time at Big Mikes to try and settle in the new music set-up.

Things eventually changed when she landed on a mega management deal with Kansanga based record label Deuces Entertainment Group (DEG) who have since injected finances and other recourses into taking her budding music career to the next level. One of the first fruits from the deal, includes super new releases and music videos for songs like ‘Simple girl and ‘Memories’ which are already rocking the air waves across East Africa.

But the one biggest one is probably her much anticipated solo concert ‘Up close and personal’ with Lilian Mbabazi scheduled for 21st August at Kampala Serena Hotel where she has promised to unleash the best of Lilian Mbabazi in a live performance accompanied by her band ‘The Sundowners’.

“This is going to be the best live performance experience the country has seen as I will give my all to my fans who have been loyal and supportive throughout my musical journey” An excited Lilian told journalists last evening at a media briefing to introduce the concert.

The concert night will also provide an opportunity for the ‘Kuuma Obudde’ singer to introduce her new self titled album “Lilian Mbabazi” which will go on sale come 21st of August. The album will feature some of her old songs like ‘Kankutwale’, Vitamin, Danger, Ddagala and new one like New Day, Simple Girl and ‘Memories’

The entry fee is set at 100,000/- for a flat VIP treatment and sponsored by  DEG,X-FM, SMS ONE Chano8, Kampala Sun, Kaymu and FACE TV among others
