The year 2020 will forever be engraved in the minds of many in this generation because of the damage caused by the outbreak of Coronavirus across the globe.
But one person who will even curse the gods of the virus the most is BET award award winner Edirisa Musuuza aka Eddy Kenzo.
The year started on a bad not for him when his longtime sweet heart Rema Namakula decided to throw in the towel on their relationship and marry another man Dr Hamza Sebunya with whom they have been rubbing their romance stories on the faces of any who cared.
Kenzo decided to move on and ignore everything even when he was given the derogatory title of ‘Love Nigga’ by Sheikh Muzata at Rema’s introduction. He still moved on after shedding buckets of tears and asking for the where about of influential people who couldn’t come to his rescue in that infamous ‘Government Weyayu’ rant.
However, things started going from bad to worse when Covid-19 started ravaging the world in a devastating manner which forced government to ban all pubic gatherings with many events forced to be cancelled or postponed indefinitely.
Guess who the biggest victim, you guessed right Eddy Kenzo again as his inaugural ‘Eddy Festival’ was postponed. The event which was due on March 28th at Kololo Airstrip, had seen a one Moses Lubulwa invest a lot of money to promote the event.
Kenzo then decided to go to West Africa, his second home to seek some solace and cool down while making some dime and it turned out as a bad move as he got trappers in Ivory Coast where he had travelled for a concert, following President Yoweri Museveni’s directive to suspend passenger flights in and out of Uganda.
The Semwokozo cried in all languages and pleaded to be allowed to return but all fell on deaf ears as he and others in similar situations, were advised to be patient and stay where they are till the situation got better.
Fast forward to Friday, a humbled Kenzo, now resigned to fate, decided to uncharacteristic of him, send a sweet birthday message to his Ex and mother of his second daughter.
“Happy birthday to Rema Namakula Sebunya maama Aamal. Ramadan Kareem and enjoy your day” reads the message which is accompanied with the prayer emoji.
Many of his followers on twitter where he posted the massage yesterday, were surprised and as well impressed with the manner in which he carefully packaged the wordings in the messages particularly the part where he referred to her as Sebunya.
Rema now in lockdown with the doctor did not respond as they spent the better part of the day celebrating at home as a family.
She apparently thanked those who wished her a Happy Birthday but made no mention of the now lonely Kenzo as she shared adorable photos of proceedings at their new marital home.
We at Chano8 would also like to wish Rema a belated Happy Birthday and the best of luck to Kenzo and stay safe.
