Yesterday was a family day out at the Kitante based Uganda Museum in Kampala where families, well wishers and the performers gathered for one of Uganda’s biggest social gatherings, Purple Party 5th edition organised by NTV’s Douglas Lwanga.
Sponsored by Sms One ,www.chano8.com , NTV , Club, Njanko Land and Property Developers, among others, the event saw top notch artistes like Dr Jose Chameleone, Bebe Cool, Bobi Wine, Pallaso conclude the day’s performances but on the other hand, other singers kept the attendees thrilled from up to midnight.

Purple Party has a promising future of becoming Uganda’s biggest social gatherings
Revellers began marching in the venue as early as 1PM and inside, the set up favoured the young and old. Mixa Kids got the kids busy at their kids’ section with different activities like face painting, bouncing castles among others.

This party is mainly about showcasing ones fashion in Purple colour and enjoying performances by Ugandan talents namely artistes, dancers, Djs and comedians. Showtime kicked off at 4:45PM with artistes Kala Kalangi, OJ Maxwell, Selector Jay, Aziz Azion, B2C, Silver X (Southern Sudan), comedian Kobusheeshe, Geosteady, Ceaserous, Zulanda and comedian Jaja Bruce.

There were nonstop showcases and the next round was mixed up with Djs and singers like Beenie Gunter, City Rock Entertainment, Dj Apophia, Roden Y, Dj Crim, Fefe Busi, Young Mulo, Lydia Jazmine, Nava Grey, Big Eye, comedian Mad Rat and Chico, Tonix, Rema Namakula and Ziza Bafana.

The crowd’s excitement was manifested from the screaming, ululations and rare dance strokes majority were pulling and the night was concluded by final performances from Michael Ross, Levixone Vampino, Raf X, Gravity Omutujju, Dj Shiru, SK Simeon, Rabadaba, Fille, Nince Henry, Exodus, Kent and Flosso, Allan Hendrick, Dj Slick Stuart and Roja, Leila Kayondo and Finally the music Legends Bebe Cool, Chameleone and Bobi Wine.
