Lupita To Feature In New Star Wars Episode VII

When it rains,it pours for Kenyan Mexican born actress Lupita Nyong’o. The star has truly arrived. Fresh off her Academy Award win for Best Supporting Actress, the “12 Years a Slave” star is now part of the “Star Wars” rumour mill. Last week The Hollywood Reporter’s Borys Kit revealed that Nyong’o had met with director J.J. Abrams about potentially playing an offspring of Obi-Wan Kenobi in “Episode VII ” In the Star wars series.
The beautiful star who won the Best Actress in a Supporting Role award for ’12 Years a Slave’ at the Oscars in Hollywood, California has been in the news for all the good reasons. From her performances in front of the cameras to fashion statements and of course ‘quotable quotes’ from her acceptance speech at the Dolby Theatre on March 2, 2014
Nyong’o who has yet to book a follow-up part to “12 Years a Slave appeared in the Liam Neeson film “Non-Stop” in February in a small supporting role.Rumours are also making rounds that, the Academy Award winner could be the next actress to play Storm in the popular X-Men series Days Of Future Past.

Nairobi School renamed in honour of Lupita
Back home in Kenya the praises and honours also keep flowing in for the young talented actress. According to nairobiwire.com, apparently a school in Dandora estate, Nairobi, has been renamed in honour of the Oscar winner.
The School formerly known as Eagles Safe Hand Education Centre, will now be known as Lupita Bright Stars Educational Centre. According to the school’s founder, Alice Anyasi Shiangala that was her way of celebrating Lupita. The website reported
“I decided to rename my school after watching Lupita’s father, Prof Anyang’ Nyong’o, being interviewed by Jeff Koinange on KTN. I was touched by her story. She is a true star who deserves better recognition. She has brought fame to our country,” she was quoted telling The Nairobian.
The school is also set for expansion according to the report.
