The annual ‘Tugende Mukikadde’ is becoming a go to event for people in their 40s and above. It is an event organized to evoke memories of revellers. That is one reason why artistes that perform are from the golden days according to the organizers of the event Sprout Africa Limited.
“The music concept, Tugende Mukikadde was established three years ago as a way of appreciating and celebrating the life of legendary artists who dominated the music industry in Uganda since 1970.” Read a statement from Sprout Africa Limited.
The third edition has come with both new artistes who have never been on that platform and mixed it up with some others who have performed there before.
Among the new artistes to perform during this edition include Willy Mukabya, Angela Kalule and Betty Mpologoma while Madoxx Sematimba and Chance Nalubega make a return.
To Angella Kalule, this is a privilege for her being on the list of performers. “It’s a pleasure for me to be part of this lovely event that tends to recognize and appreciate our God-given art,” she said before adding that it is an honor sharing the stage with some of Uganda’s legendary musicians.
Madoxx and Chance Nalubega return because of their impressive exhibition according to the organizers.
The first two editions were impressive with big numbers attending but with such a line up for the third, it promises to be bigger and better.
