Mary Luswata Snubs Urban TV Deal At The Last Hour

Reliable information we have landed on is that former Gossip queen Mary Luswata and Industrial Area-based Urban TV have failed to agree on contract terms and has led Mary Luswata to put on hold her move back to the station.

Our source tells us that Urban TV has failed to agree with the terms Mary Luswata tabled in and was also angered by the way Urban TV released adverts mentioning her name to be the next presenter of Saloon talk program.

Our source adds that, Mary Luswata apparently requested for a monthly pay of sh5m something Urban TV management disagreed with.

Last week, Urban TV released adverts on social media that suggested Mary Luswata will be replacing departed Judithiana and last Sunday was supposed to be her first time to take on the show. However, this didn’t come to pass as negotiations failed. Mary Luswata is currently Jobless after her short time job at Galaxy FM was cut short by her pregnancy that led her to go back for maternity leave.

The advert that Urban TV has been running to announce Luswata’s return and new program.

Celebrated motor-mouthed gossip presenter, Mary Luswata ruled the social scene after breaking to the limelight in 2014 on Scoop on scoop show that airs on Urban Television. While at the industrial area-based Television, the mother of one squeezed local celebrities and created many enemies.

She left the show earlier last year and returned to the entertainment industry in July 2017 when she joined Kansanga-based Galaxy FM where she co-hosted with Prim and Lito Joe on the Evening Rush.

In a brief chat with Urban TV’s Desire Mugumisa, we were told that negotiations are still in progress and soon the station will release a statement but also he remains optimistic that Mary will be back home and go about her business. We shall keep you updated on any new developments about this saga.
