Maxi Priest To Headline This Year’s Jazz Safari

Through songs such as‘dancing mood, throw my corn, Wild World, woman in you, Just A Little Longer and Close To Youamong others, Maxi Priest became a force to reckon with in the music industry especially in the 80s and 90s and it is for this reason that the annual Nile gold Jazz Safari has decided to fly him to Uganda for this year’s edition.

However, this will not be Maxi Priest’s first time performing at this event in Uganda as he was among the first international acts to grace it more than five years ago after which others like Keith Sweat, Karyn White, Gerald Albright and Joe among others performed in series.

Besides the performances, this is also going to be a rebranding of the event from ‘Nile gold jazz safari’ to ‘Nile Gold Jazz and Soul Safari’.

The BritIsh born artiste will also be sharing the stage with Jackiem Joyner and on will not be performing along as jazz players Jackiem Joyner and Lin ‘Soul-Trumpeter’ Rountree at Kampala Serena hotel on the 7th of October.
