Meaty Affair As Music Meets Fun At The Return Of Nile Special-Powered East African Meat Carnival

A few months after social events were allowed to take place again in Uganda after almost two years of suspension due to Covid-19, the East African Meat Carnival returned bigger and better last Saturday March the 26th at Uganda Museum.

The event was a fusion of meat accompanied with music from the East African countries Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda and Kenya hence “UTARKE”.

The carnival which was the very first time powered by Nile Special beer didn’t only excite meat lovers who were seeing enjoying yummy meat in all forms but also music lovers who earlier in the day vibed to live Dj mixes of East African music as well as musical performances.

Rapper Mun G, singer Sheebah Karungi and legendary Reggae singer Madoxx Ssematimba thrilled the revellers with their performances.

Mun G excited the fans with his usual magic of blending performing and jokes, Sheebah of course did not leave her energy home but brought with her on stage, performing her songs which she always accompanies with jaw dropping dance moves sometimes some erotic.

Madoxx wrapped up the performances performing his forever classic Reggae tunes that lit a big vibe into the lovers of the genre with origins from Jamaica.

For the first time, Nile Special has come on board to boost the event this year and keep revelers refreshed with a beer that is“Unmatched In Gold.” This is in line with Nile Special’s purpose, to celebrate Ugandan greatness big or small. With a rich and diverse cultural base, we expect a taste of Uganda at the event. From music to food, topped off with the most awarded taste of Nile Special” Said Amou Majok, Nile Breweries’ Head of Marketing.

The Carnival that was hosted by MC Wetala on NTV and Esteri featured barbecue by chefs Mark Kaheru and Mozes and some of the disk jockeys who entertained revellers are Aludah, Jo, Mary Jo, Cisse, Xzyl and Mujo.

This event will happen every quarter and will feature regional music and meats, themed to a specific country, starting with Uganda.
