“Mind Your Dress Code And Dance Moves”-Anti Porn Committee Boss Warns Female Artistes

Dr. Annette Kezaabu the chairperson Anti Pornography Committee on Wednesday lashed out at Uganda female musicians to be very mindful of their dress codes and dance moves come every time they go to perform at shows

“When you to perform at shows while dressed in skimpy outfits,  you have put yourself on a lower level and it is something very bad. Female musicians please mind the things you dress, the things you say and your dance moves” she warned.

Her strong warning came after a recent video that went viral on social media where singer Winnie Nwagi of Swangz Avenue is seen engaging St Mary’s College Kisubi students in erotic dance moves while at a function she was invited to headline a few weeks ago.

Annette believes that female Musicians can copy fellow singer Juliana Kanyomozi’s decent dress code

“I am a strong supporter of Juliana Kanyomozi. She is always decent and sings decent music. Can’t other musicians copy her. Her dress code and decency is the reason I attend her concerts and love her music” she added.

She went on to tell female musicians to stop thinking that government wants them to wear Gomesi for shows or while shooting music videos but  they should always find appropriate costumes that respect the morals of Ugandan ladies.

Amidst all these, singer Winnie Nwangi and Swangz Avenue recently released a press statement apologizing for the misconduct of their artiste.

Winnie personally also apologized to the nation using her social media pages and promised never to repeat the act.
