Mirinda Miss Teen Returns After 2-Year Break, School Tours To Start In June

The Mirinda Miss Teen pageant is finally back for the 6thedition where teens will once again be availed a platform to explore their creativity and ambitious aspirations through guidance and mentorship under the theme; ‘Surprise and Be Surprised’  

While launching this year’s edition, Ms Tracy Kakuru the Brand Manger Mirinda said that the they will be holding the pageant once again under their assorted products including; Fruity, Orange, Pineapple & Green Apple “while offering fun, and memorable experiences with the main aim to reward the most creative, fashionable and confident contestant who will represent and inspire the rest till 2019 in different areas concerning the youth especially the teenagers”.

In the last edition which was held at UMA Show grounds in Lugogo, Kampala in 2017 where St. Peter’s S. S Nsambya’s Daphine  Atugonza emerged the overall winner as she was crowned Mirinda Miss Teen 2017 amidst lots of screaming from her fans and fellow students after a grueling and competitive action-packed pageant.

This year’s categories to be tussled out include Miss Teen which will look at a girl who is beautiful inside and out, is talented, fun, cultured and intelligent, While Miss Ambitious should be able to know her career goals and how she can achieve them and Miss Fashionista who can creatively put together an interesting piece of fashion art; using the props she is given.

Cash prize of up to Ugx10 Million will be rewarded inform of school fees for the different contestants, in addition 4 winners will travel to the best amusement park in the world destination to be revealed during the school tours.

To kick off the Miss Tees pageant, Mirinda and other partners will hold tours in 20 select schools around the country, with an addition of 36 guest schools, catering for all the regions namely; Central, Eastern, Northern and Western. Several prizes have also been lined up for the teens in the tours.

This year’s Miss Teens pageant judges include Ms. Natasha Sinayobye, Uthman Ssozi aka MC Talha, Mr. Humphrey Wampula, Ms. Patience Ahabwe who was Winner Miss Teens 2013, Ms. Shakira Ibrahim and Ms. Tyrah Maragach.
