Miss Earth Uganda 2016 Achieng Priscilla made news on Saturday the 3rd of September at Theatre Labonita when she was crowned Miss Earth Uganda 2016. On top of that, on Wednesday the 5th of October she took a plane to Manila in Philippines to represent our country Uganda for the Miss Earth World pageant where she spent 26 days in boot camp.
Lots of things and activities happened while she was in Manila where she met other representatives from other countries with whom they tussled it out for one crown that was taken by one Katherine Espín from Ecuador. Although we expected our own to be crowned Miss earth World, she emerged the winner of gold in the National Costume Africa category which a Ugandan won last year too.
“As miss earth Uganda organization we are proud and would like to welcome back Priscilla Achieng. She fully represented us and the country at large. Having won national costume (Africa) for a 2nd time in a raw with a number of favourite predictions we are confident she raised our flag above heights. As a woman of the earth, empowered to make a change, she looks forward to your full cooperation and support to her cause.” The Public Relations officer told Chano8.
Achieng from Tororo district beat other contenders from Nigeria and South Africa to emerge winner in this. She was welcomed back to Uganda in style on Tuesday at Mythos Greek Taverna and Lounge located in Kololo.
