Former Radio and TV presenter and now the new Lord Councillor 5 Makindye East 3 Mr. Mosh, real name Ssendi Mosh, was on Wednesday elected as the Chairperson of the Gender and Community Services Committee at Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA).
He said he will be holding the position for five years from 2021 to 2026 when the current term expires.
He thanked the new councilors for voting for him and entrusting him with the office.
“Thank Allah. We made it. Am honored to be entrusted by my colleagues. This office looks into affairs of markets, Youth, women, schools and other sectors.” He posted on his official social media platforms.
Mosh quit radio and TV and contested the position of LC 5 (Lord Councillor) seat for Ggaba and Kansanga and won.
According to his biography, Mosh is a Ugandan radio and presenter, master of ceremony and also a Dancehall music singer (deejay)
He attended his primary school education at Mwiri Primary School located in Jinja district in Eastern Uganda.
After completing his primary school education, he joined St. Francis Secondary School where he studied his ordinary level (O’ Level) and after completing his ordinary level of education, he joined Old Kampala secondary school where he studied his Advanced level of education (A Level).
During his time at school at Old Kampala secondary school, he gained the courage to approach a disk jockey who had come to play music at his school at one of the school parties which are popularly known as “Kadanke”.
During that time he managed to record songs with Blue3 which was an all girl’s singing group made up of Cindy Sanyu, Lilian Mbabazi and Jackie Chandiru. He later recorded a song titled “Digi” with Ngoni duo.
He then ventured into media starting with WBS Television, Galaxy FM, Spark TV before quitting to join politics as a National Unity Platform (NUP) Lord councilor LC 5 for Ggaba and Kansanga in Makindye division, Kampala.
