MTN Finally Announces Kusima New ‘Miss Pulse’ As The Different Winners Receive Their Prizes

The Miss popularity, now renamed as ‘Miss Pulse’ after MTN took sponsorship of the event had glitches on Saturday as a wrong winner was announced at the Grand Finale held at Sheraton Gardens on Friday.

After MTN and the organisers of the Miss Uganda beauty pageant realized the mistake, they made an announcement through the Coordinator and former Miss Uganda Sylvia Wilson Namutebi;

“We would like to clarify that contestant number 3 was wrongly awarded as Miss Pulse as there was a mix-up in results from the different voting platforms. We will therefore declare the actual winner on our social media platforms,” Sylvia said on Friday.

It was Santina Ashemeza who was wrongly awarded as Miss Uganda on Friday but after a complete compilation of results from the 3 different voting platforms, MTN and the organisers Kezzy Entertainment and Talent Africa finally declared Kusiima Brownnie Devine the legitimate winner.

Although as winner Santina was initially handed a dummy cheque of 2 Million, and also becoming an MTN influencer for a year receiving 30GB of data per month on her new S10 prize smartphone, all that was yesterday transferred to the new winner who will also get 4,500 minutes of voice minutes per month.

Franchise holder Brenda Nanyonjo did the honors to clear the air at a press briefing held at Sheraton Hotel as Santina settles for a paid internship slot at Talent Africa.

It was not only the Miss Pulse who received her prizes as the rest of the winners were also given their different pries with Uganda Aviation School offering scholarships to the top 3 contestants who will study any course of their choice.

Sheraton Kampala Hotel the host of the pageant also offered membership to their exclusive prestigious club for 2nd and 1st runner up for 3 months respectively while Miss Uganda winner Oliver Nakakande gets 6 months and an opportunity to feel the ambiance of the presidential suit any time she wants.

The winners got mega deals as Aviation School offered them scholarships handed directly to Brenda herself.

MTN will then credit them with airtime and data for a full year while as a good gesture Purpose Africa also offered Santina a slot at their mentorship program as the director handed her $100 cash on top of the paid internship offer at Talent Africa.

All the beauty queens who won the different categories like Miss Sports, Miss Talent, Miss Congeniality,Miss East, Miss North, Miss Central and Miss Photogenic were then handed beautiful handbags as a ‘thank you.’
