MTN Uganda Serves Sumptuous Ramadan Dinner To Muslims

MTN Uganda yesterday hosted Muslim clients and media personnel to a special Ramadan dinner at Hotel Africana to mark the start of the start of the holy month of Ramadan.

The dinner which hosted different people from the Muslim faith and the media fraternity started off with brief prayers at 6:00pm was to appreciate muslim community in the country and wish them the best of Ramadan.

MTN Uganda CEO Wim Vanhellepute during the dinner said that it was a pleasure to have hosted the Muslim community and also thanked them for being a big support to MTN and to Uganda as a whole.

“We appreciate the great contributions made by our Muslim friends as clients of MTN Uganda and wish them the best during this holy month of Ramdan”. He said

Ramadan which is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar, and is observed by Muslims worldwide as a month of fasting to commemorate the first revelation of the Quran to Muhammad according to Islamic belief

Speaking at the MTN Iftar dinner, the Lord Mayor Kampala City, Erias Lukwago, thanked MTN for partnering with Salaam TV. He also wished the Muslim community a peaceful Ramadan season.

Many political leaders from the Muslim community and business community were invited with guests dressed in smart sharia codes as they enjoyed the buffet served by Hotel Africana. Check out some of the photos and highlights below.
