Kenyan veteran singer Nameless brought life to the highly anticipated Beers and Beer event that finally went down at the Uganda Museum on Saturday with revellers spending a bigger part of the day munching Muchomo and sipping on their beers as they waited for entertainment and the Champions League finals.
Nameless real names David Mathenge was in high spirits and got the crowd grooving when he stepped on stage at around 9:30 as the revellers prepared for the Champions League finals game between Real Madrid and Atletico at the San Siro in Italy.

The Kenyan RnB and Dance-Hall star got things off with some of his old songs that received alot of airplay in the late 90’s and early 2000’s when the FM’s had just started in Kampala during the Ogopa Deejays era. Songs like ‘Boomba Train’ featuring the late E-Sir and ‘Ninanoki’ featuring Amani brought fond memories for the fans who could not resist leaving their seats but ran closer to the stage as they jumped and cheered on.

Nameless, who seemed to be on a rush, then brought the Ugandan twist with ‘Butterfly’ a song he sang in luganda with the ladies screaming on top of their voices. But when he asked the fans which song they wanted him to perform they all responded in a chorus ‘Nansinzia’ which he duly obliged to add even got off stage to dance with the fans before winding up with ‘Coming home’

Afrigo Band were also in top form on Saturday
Although the event started on a low key with the revellers trickling in from as early as midday, Most remained seated in tents erected by beer companies and food vendors to catch some bites and drinks till When legendary Afrigo band took to the stage and also did a good job performing some old classics like Jim.
DJ Apeman then closed the performances with some mixes before the match was relayed on the big screens.
