Whereas other Northern Uganda artistes arrived safely at the venue where the Northern Uganda Entertainment Awards (NUEA) took place, Bosmic Otim who is one of the most celebrated artistes in the Northern Uganda region, didn’t make it following an involvement in a nasty car accident as he was on his way to Lira Hotel where the awarding ceremony was held last weekend.
These being the first ever entertainment awards in the whole Northern region of Uganda, Bosmic was too ecstatic and he couldn’t wait for that day but he unfortunately, he didn’t make it through. “I actually slept in Pader (District) on Friday morning, I started my journey back to Gulu so that I can connect to Lira district for the awards.
I was being driven in my car and we were kind of speeding, a child out the blue crossed the road, we were almost knocking down the child but the driver decided to save his life, so when we saved the child’s life, the vehicle left the road and hit a very big tree, at Pajule- Lapul road in Pader.
We were lucky it hit the tree otherwise it was going to overturn, it’s me who didn’t get injured but the other 2 girls and the driver got minor injuries, thank God who saved our and the child’s lives” Bosmic Otim told Chano8 DP 8888 from Gulu.
Leaving that aside, Bosmic Otim is a recording dancehall artiste who owns a band dubbed Nile Republic Crew based in Gulu town, he has been singing from 2012.
He has written and released songs like ‘Mama’ and ‘Politics Of Revenge’ and he recently returned from the London where he was invited to perform at the UK Convention that was held recently.
The user-friendly Chano8 App is now available for free download on Google play store. Please download and install for a chance to win tickets to upcoming concerts.
