Nyege Nyege Festival started the year 2020 in style by lighting up the with the ‘Sauti Za Busara’ festival. The two festivals joined hands in an effort to showcase East African friendship and integration and support a thriving East African music industry.
Nyege Nyege Festival has always been inspired by the Zanzibari Festival which has showcased some of the most exciting acts in the African continent for over a decade.
Nyege Nyege brought their legendary fire to co-host the after party, bringing no less than 6 acts to the event on Monday the 17th of February at Beach House, Zanzibar
Among the acts who entertained the revellers include international star DJ Kampire, Dj Decay (Uganda) and others like Makossiri (Kenya),Turkana (South Sudan) and Nyege Nyege Tanzanian artists from Dar Es Salaam, Jay Mitta, Rehema Tajiri and more.

The Nyege Nyege team was in attendance, scoping for exciting acts whom they will give platform at this year’s edition of Nyege Nyege in Jinja. Dates have already been set for September 3rd to 6th of September as we all await for more information on this year’s theme and lineup.
