Oscar Pistorius has been found GUILTY of culpable homicide over the shooting of his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp, which means he could face up to 15 years behind bars.
The blade runner was also found guilty of firing a gun in a crowded restaurant.
Oscar, who was cleared of murder charges yesterday was also acquitted of cleared of illegal ammunition possession.
Oscar Pistorius showed little emotion as the verdict of manslaughter was announced a few moments ago.
The deceased’s mother June showed little emotion as Oscar Pistorius was convicted of manslaughter, while the father Barry hardly shifted in his seat.
However, when Pistorius was earlier acquitted of two firearms charges, some of Reeva’s family and friends were majorly disappointed.
It’s not quite done yet.
Judge Masipa will come back to review Oscar Pistorius’ bail conditions, and it looks likely that his sentencing will be pushed forward a few weeks.
There is no minimum sentence for culpable homicide and there is also still a possibility he could avoid jail time altogether. It is the judge’s decision to make.
