It is 17 days to the general elections slated for Thursday the 18 of February 2016. Pallaso also known as The King Of The East released the video for his song entitled ‘Tugende Tulonde’. This is a political song he released last year basically urging people to participate in the voting process and vote in peace.
This follows another video that Ghetto president Bobi Wine released for his ‘Dembe’ single early last month and it also urges people to vote peacefully. The video that was shot and directed by Frank Mugerwa of JahLive Films begins with a short scene of the outer view of the Old Kampala Mosque. Next we a Muslim man saying out his prayers.
Shortly after, Pallaso is seen waking up in the morning, he grabs a TV remote controller and switches on his TV set. Only to find on the news, there is violence on the city streets as the anti fire police tries to extinguish the fire lit on the streets. That pisses him off, he puts on a shirt, grabs a microphone and goes to streets telling people to go voting instead of wasting time in violence.
In some scenes, he is scene telling people like street vendors, car washers, beggars on streets and boda boda riders to go voting. People are seen in lines at polling stations and a man who tries to rig votes is seen being arrested by security guards at the station.
