When singer Eddy Kenzo said that “government of Uganda where are you” in a live video as he ranted why the government didn’t question controversial Sheikh Muzaata who told him to “go and marry his mother”, people thought that he was going to be ignored but the head of the government himself, president Museveni invited him to State House, Entebbe
On Monday evening after their meeting, photos of them together were shared on Museveni’s official Twitter account and many social media users were quick to congratulate him upon that milestone.
“I met with recently crowned African Entertainer of the year and BET award winner, Edrisah Musuuza alias @eddykenzoficial. His story is one of resilience and hard work. Growing up as an orphan to a celebrated and inspirational artiste. I wish him and his team good luck” Museveni Tweeted after the meeting with the BET Award winner
They discussed lots of things although Kenzo didn’t share all of them, promising to share everything at a press conference soon.
One thing the ‘Sitya Loss’ hit singer shared was their discussion about the potential and opportunities available in the arts industry which the president pledged to give full government support
Meanwhile, the meeting between Kenzo and Sevo as he is sometimes called has set tongues wagging with people sharing their opinions about it. Most people were in support of Kenzo but of course there are those who weren’t happy about it especially basing on the fact that he is a ‘People Power’ opposition group diehard.
“Unfortunately many Ugandans are going to make this political ..i don’t support m7 but I believe it’s good to appreciate those that do good. Truth be told this guy has raised this country’s flag so high and this presidential call is even late.” Read a comment from one Facebook user
“Follow your heart Kenzo. Whether you are in opposition or Silent Majority I remain team you for life.” Another one said
