Last night reggae Superstar Maxi Priest landed in the country ahead of the highly anticipated 9th edition of Nile Gold Jazz and Soul Safari which is slated for Saturday October 8th at the Lugogo Cricket Oval. The Superstar who will headline the annual Jazz festival alongside Saxophonist Jackiem Joyner and Trumpeter Lin Rountree a.k.a The Soul-Trumpeter on Independence eve.
He jetted in with a big entourage comprising band members, members of his management team and personal security. He flew in alongside Lin Rountree and other band members at around 10:10pm aboard KLM and was welcomed by Jazz Safari boss Tshaka Mayanja and members of the organising team as well as a select team of media personnel. He was then driven straight to Sheraton Hotel in Kampala.
He will be meeting the media at 11:00 AM at the same hotel ahead of the highly anticipated concert now at a new bigger venue in Lugogo which is also expected to draw a record crowd this time round. Chano8 was there and captured the moments when the star arrived.
