Halloween falls every year on October 31 and to those who might not know what it means, the word Halloween comes from ‘Hallowe’en’, meaning “hallowed evening” or holy evening.  It is held the day before All Saints’ Day, which is a Christian festival used to celebrate recognised saints.

Back here in Uganda,Castle Lite threw an event in the same celebration called ‘Halloween Spook Fest’ that took place at the 5th Street  Industrial Area based Design Hub last Saturday night the 28th of October.

Kampala’s Party animals, slay kings and queen and well wishers gathered at the venue to have on an experience of this fest where it was all about wearing frightening costumes and having fun. Talking about fun, there was a line of top notch Djs like Xzyl, Ricky, Aludah, Umojah, RPM and BK, Dark Meme among others

It was not just about the Djs only but there was a main performance from Nigeria’s Ketchup who took to the stage at a few minutes after midnight and unleashed what he had in stock for his Ugandan fans who also cheered him on throughout his performance.

Although we expected all the attendees to come clad in really scaring costumes, to some it was just the normal dress code they appeared in where as there were those who pulled the real Halloween look. The fest that was hosted by Radio City’s Cleopatra and MC Hype was a fun filled one that made the attendees’ Saturday proggie a blast
