Uganda’s King of ‘Mwooyo’ (Soul music) Maurice Kirya held his long awaited concert dubbed ‘Kirya Live’ that went down successfully last Friday. His family, friends and off course the fans gathered at Kampala Serena Hotel’s Victoria Ball Room where the ‘Never Been Loved’ Artiste treated them to his best of live music performance.
Doing majority of his songs from back in the years to date, the revellers did not let him do the singing alone, but they too sang along to all lyrics of the tunes he performed live although the numbers were not like was expected.
Maurice performed for over two hours and there were no curtain raisers like it is at other concerts except guitarists and fellow singers Myko Ouma and Kenneth Mugabi who joined him later on.
The Kirya Live concert will however take place annually and this being the first edition; this is what you missed through the lens.
