Wednesday night the 31st of May 2017 is one to remember for the revellers who filled up the Nairobi based Carnivore Grounds to watch Reggae superstar Damian Marley (Bob Marley’s youngest son) perform live at the Street Fusion Concert courtesy of Head Cornerstone Entertainment.
Just like any other Reggae concerts, this sold out concert boasted of exciting Rasta affair, live Reggae music mixes from DJ Kriss Darling, Damian Marley’s live and satisfying performance and lastly the other headlining local artistes like Jua Cali, Wyre, Kaligraph among others.
The ‘Welcome To Jamrock’ hit maker who took to the stage at a few minutes after 2 AM sang his heart out singing his songs like ‘Set Up Shop’ Roar Fi A Cause’, ‘Medication’ featuring his elder brother Stephen Marley as well as some of his late father Bob Marley (RIP) like ‘Is This Love’, ‘Could You Be Loved’ and ‘Africa Unite’ that left his Kenya fans bowing down and accepting he is truly his father’s son.
This was Damian’s third country to visit off his Africa/Europe tour that began on May 26th in Johannesburg South Africa then to Durban, South Africa on 28th May. He has another performance tonight 3rd of June in Saint Pierre, Reunion Island, Port Louis, Mauritius on 4th June and finally conclude this tour in Addis Ababa – Ethiopia on 6th June
With hopes of Damian Marley coming to also perform in Uganda, here is how his Nairobi concert went down in photos
