There was excitement written all over the faces of the guests as Europe literally visited Kampala for three days. The European Business Forum hosted the 1st of its kind, Annual Business Hub and Food Festival dubbed ‘3 Days in Europe’ from Friday 6th to Sunday 8th May. The 3-day long event which aimed at facilitating business development, trade partnerships as well as cultural exchange between Europe and Uganda, took place at the Sheraton gardens in Kampala.
The 3-day festival which was a pre-curser to the upcoming European Union and East Africa summit, highlighted trade opportunities alongside cultural diversity and exchange of opportunities in association with embassies, missions and private businesses.
The Festival was also aimed at celebrating and embracing European and Ugandan cultural diversity through food, beverage, fashion and entertainment. Cuisine restaurants demonstrated top notch European recipes with the use of local ingredients. Top Chef’s from Europe showcased some of their signature cuisines in creative recipes and the finest wines selected by some of the finest restaurants.
Some of the highlights included the classic fashion display by renown Ugandan designer Sylvia Owori with a touch of Europe, Chef Gregory from Italy doing his magic, and artiste Kwizera painting a mural of the activates at the festival live at the scene.
