His excellence Yoweri Kaguta Museveni is currently a very busy man who is now balancing between leadership and campaigns especially following his approval as one of those who are standing for presidency 2016-2021. However, his business has not stopped him from pushing his talent of singing to greater heights. The ‘Another Rap’ and ‘Yengoma’ hits maker recently released a fresh song dubbed ‘Kwezi’.
While launching his manifesto on Friday the 6th of November, Museveni sang the new song for his supporters and that was the day he also officially released and launched the song. It is a folk song which he sang in his mother tongue ‘Runyankore’ and this time, it was produced by Washington.
Being a person who grew up in a pastoralist family, he wouldn’t fail to expose his love for cattle and in the song, he is heard singing lyrics like ‘Teera ente itaahe’ literally meaning ‘Beat the cattle to get in the kraal’ and ‘Ezi ente nezooha’ meaning ‘Whose cattle are these’.
The track has so far been embraced by NRM supporters and the love for it is continuing to grow as majority of them can not wait to have a copy and listen to the new song. Like his supporters have always asked him to sing for them an cappella of his ‘Another rap hit’ at his campaign rallies, we also expect him to sing for them this new hit ‘Kwezi’ now that the campaigns will officially commence tomorrow. listen to ‘Kwezi’ below.
