President Yoweri Museveni yesterday excited the country when he released a video to the public in which he gives tips on how to exercise from home during this quarantine period as a measure to curb the spread of Coronavirus.
The president who was following up on a promise he made while addressing the nation on Wednesday, released the video to show the Wanainchi that it is possible to exercise at home instead of in public.
This was after he banned jogging in public following reports that Ugandans were storming some major
roads like the Northern Bypass in big numbers, to jog in the evening which was a threat to their lives because of the risks involved in not keeping a social distance.
Covid-19 is ravaging the world and the president announced several measures aimed at curbing the spread of the deadly virus. Among this, is staying home and maintaining a social distance.
The video which was recorded in his office at State House Nakasero, has since gone viral on internet and social media with many Ugandans taking on the president in a hilarious challenge where they jog in their sitting rooms and also do a few press-ups.
“It is good to go outside or outdoor when there is no problem. But when there’s need you can go indoor this is just my office, because I don’t have time to go out. So you begin by warming up”. He said
