After about five years Prison Break fans can finally smile again after Fox decided to reorder 10 episodes for the show, which swept Uganda’s video libraries like a wild fire.
The Chairman and CEO Gary Newman announced at the Television Critics Association summer press tour in Beverly Hills on Thursday that Prison Break is coming back with both the brothers.
“It’s going to bring back both brothers, [played by] Wentworth Miller and Dominic Purcell.”
Co-Chairman Dana Walden added “I would describe it as a bit of a sequel. It picks up the characters several years after we left them in the last season of the show. The brothers will be back. Some of the iconic characters from that show will be back.
“It’s going to take a little bit of a detour from where we left off, but it should feel very satisfying and event-ized. Fans will be excited about seeing these characters back together again.”
The announcement has already sent a wild excitement through many fans in Uganda, as some are already wishing for the year to end so they could be able to watch what happens, will Micheal Scofield be a ghost or was his death just a hoax? What prison will they escape from this time round? Are just some of the questions several fans are asking themselves.
Prison Break was indeed a nail biter and indeed opened up the whole series world and market in Uganda. Can’t wait to see what they have in store for the fans.
