The previous editions of Arab Money have taken place at Cayenne, Sheraton gardens and the Square among other places but the 2017’s edition took place at the Embers in industrial area last Thursday evening the 28th of December with the theme ‘Marbella Nights A Quintessentially international affair’, the evening saw mostly Kampala’s slay queens and kings in attendance.

Some of the notable people that attended were Aly Alibhai, Navio, Judith Heard, Dj Rachael, Roger Mugisha and Chizzo among many others.

So different from previous editions, Sue Ochola dedicated last evening’s show to charity and even promised that all proceeds will be going to the Mentor Arts Project, a charity organisation in Mbale that educates and funds UPE students.

“We are working with the Mentor arts project in Mbale and we are giving them a percentage to of the ticket sales to help them grow individually with art skills and we are doing this by buying for them paint brushes as well as auctioning some of the artworks they have done,” said Sue Ochola about this edition of her annual Arab money party.

The night saw Bebe Cool performing three songs ‘Love You Every Day’, ‘Mbozi Zamalwa’ and ‘Katono’ to the delight of the audience especially the lady of the night who even decided to join him on stage while deejays like Aludah, Apeman, Roja and SlickStuart, AO Walker and DJ Que from London all kept the crowd on its toes.
