Qute Kaye To Make Music Come Back After Completing Rehabilitation Process

Faded singer Qute Kaye is set and ready to make a music come back after completing his rehabilitation process.

Kaye who now looks healthy and mentality fit has been on a local media tour where he updated the public about his drug addiction problems and how he overcame them.

He has been hosted on several entertainment shows such as “NBS After 5” hosted by Douglas Lwanga, MC Kats, Mercy Pro and DJ Roja and many other radio and Television shows.

Speaking on NTV’s “Mwasuze Mutya” hosted by Faridah Nakazibwe recently, Kaye said he has fully recovered from drug addiction after being in rehabilitation for over a year.

“I feel fine now, I look healthy and fit and I thank everyone who has helped me overcome this problem because it was going to kill my life if the public had not intervened,” he said.

He said he started using drugs when long ago when he fell sick and friends in his band advised him to start using drugs.

“Some of my band members were drug addicts, they advised me to start using drugs because it was the only way I would recover from my health complications. I would even use drugs when shooting videos and media people would notice me doing it and its how it became public,” he said

He told viewers that his mother, who lives outside Uganda, tried to persuade him to leave Uganda for Europe or America but he rejected her idea.

“She told me to leave the country because the media was negatively writing about my situation but I told her I cannot leave because he wanted to get his rehabilitation from Uganda,” he revealed

He further said that drugs destroyed his life completely to the extent that he could not use his mind and body for any productive activity and it’s this situation that forced him to go to Pastor Robert Kayanja of Rubaga Miracle Centre for healing and deliverance session.

Kaye, who now looks clean, humble and presentable has promised to help sensitize youth on drugs using the available non-governmental organisations and that he use all the available platforms to educate and sensitize them.

“Drugs are the root cause of crimes in communities and if youth are left to use them freely, they will be a problem to other people and it’s the reason why many youth have resorted to violence as means of solving their problems,” he added.
