The Amaaso singers who are battling police cases over alleged possession of illegal drugs in their home and fighting in a bar last weekend, is gunning for the Best Collaboration award for their song ‘Kiboko Changu’ featuring veteran Kenyan songstress Amani.
The Goodlyfe that has been producing hit songs year in year out since there fallout from mentor Jose Chameleone’s Leone Island, have however recently been in the news for another fallout. This time round with Goodlyfe Entertainment Manager Jeff Kiwa. The fallout has since reached a nasty low as physical fights and abuses have followed with the group splitting into two camps of ‘Goodlyfe Reloaded’(Radio, Red Banton, Sizzaman and Manager Chagga) and ‘Goodlyfe No Sleep’(Sheeba Karungi, Allan Kiwa, Sam Mukasa, Pallaso, King Saha, AK 47 with Jeff Kiwa as manager)
Last week they had a serious fight that started from Club Venom in Kabalagala and continued in Casablanca at Acacia Avenue and then ended in Radio’s home in Makindye. Several crew members were later arrested and charged among others for possession of illegal drugs, Affray and Assault.
The duo have over the years been nominated for international Awards before including channel O music video awards. Last year they were nominated for BET awards and this year they were nominated for World music Awards with Jose Chameleone
This year’s event will be held on June 7, in Durban, South Africa, Radio and Weasel are the only Ugandans to make it on this year’s Nominee list dominated by Nigerians and South Africans
