Radio and Weasel who recently came out and talked about the story behind the Tubonga nawe song, shed some on light why most music duos in Uganda fail to work out,
‘Most groups have a lot of internal miscommunication which is a big problem today. It also requires persistence and consistency like I had said earlier. You have to do your research to see what works for your song, but you also have to keep releasing music when you take your time someone will take your place. It’s a war out here.’
Weasel further went on to say what makes him and Radio connect and why they have managed to stay together for years,
‘Yes duos come up and disappear, a lot contributes to that, but mostly I believe it is communication. Radio and I do everything as brothers. We talk about everything. I wouldn’t do anything without letting him know and the same applies to him. We are always on the same page and we agree a lot on most things. It also takes persistence and being consistent with your music.’
