Radio And Weasel Nominated for Best African Reggae, Ragga & Dancehall in AFRIMA Awards

Ugandan singing duo of Radio and Weasel continue to represent at International level. This time they are nominated in AFRIMA Awards in the category of ‘Best African Reggae, Ragga & Dancehall’ for their song ‘Breath Away’

AFRIMA is a combined effort to recognize and award, promote and preserve Africa’s rich music culture. And has this year done a series of activities as a build to the main Award ceremony slated for November 9th 2014.

They join the likes of Jose, Chameleone, Maurice Kirya and Jackie Chaandiru nominated in the regional category for Eastern Africa in competing for the prestigious Awards.

The 2014 Nominees’ List of the All Africa Music Awards, AFRIMA, was unveiled on September 23, 2014 during a world press conference held at Protea Hotel Leadway, Maryland Estate, Lagos, Nigeria. The list is divided into regional and continental categories.

Radio and Weasel are up against some of Africa’s best names like Patoranking, Buffalo Souljah, Dama Do Bling and Burna Boy.

The Awards are based on AFRIMA’s core values of FACE IT –Fairness, Authenticity, Creativity, Excellence, Integrity and Transparency.

Whereas 31 of the 33 award categories will be open for voting by the public, the AFRIMA Legend Award and the Africa Entertainment/Music Journalist Award will be decided by the International Committee of AFRIMA and announced at the main awards ceremony.

The online voting is already open for the next five weeks where fans can vote for their favourite artists by logging onto , to view the nominees in the 30 categories of the award and vote for their favourite artiste (s).
