Born Daniel Kazibwe Kyeyune, Ragga Dee is probably one of the best entertainers in Uganda.
With his unique dance videos, he is arguably one of the pioneers of contemporary Ugandan music. Ragga Dee has won several Pearl of Africa Music Awards and with his progress don’t be surprised when he scoops the lifetime achievement award as well.
His humor goes well with the music videos he makes, for example, in his ‘Letter O’ video the dance moves were somewhat hilarious. Truly a legend in Uganda, Ragga Dee is one of the most successful artists and his fleet of cars seems to prove so.
He started his career in the early nineties with ‘Da Hommies’ group which consisted Deejay Messe and Jenkins Mukasa. Mostly known for the hit tracks like Bamusakata and mukwano which took the radio airwaves by storm, the group was bound for more success but unfortunately they split up. Ragga Dee is nowadays commonly for his hit songs like ‘mpeta,’ ‘Digida’ and ‘Nugu.’
Ragga Dee, who will be one of the 20 local artists to grace the Namboole stadium come September 20, set to turn it up at the Club Mega Fest. Expect to get your money’s worth.
