New kid on the music block Fik Fameica is surely enjoying his hours of fame. Away from moving places with endless endorsements, the young and vibrant rapper has been selected to take part in next year’s Coke Studio. Fik will head to Nairobi Kenya this year for this event that brings African acts to one stage
After holding a successful 2017 edition, Coke Studio Africa will return in style starting February next year and Fik was selected little-known singer Alvin Kizz for the forthcoming edition. Reliable sources say Fik will be working with Tanzania’s Harmonize.
“Work not words is my motto” Fik Fameica posted oh his social media platforms after being selected to represent for Uganda in Coke Studio 2019
The rapper joins the list of few Ugandan musicians who have been selected to participate in the coke studio before. The latest has been Rema Namakula and Juliana Kanyomozi who never disappointed. Their stay in the Coke Studio did so much impact on their Music life.
Coke Studio Africa will host more than 25 African artistes. Some of these artists include Wasafi Music producer, Lizer, Naiboi (Kenya), Winky D (Zimbabwe), Messias (Mozambique), Khaligraph Jones (Kenya), Rayvanny (Tanzania) and Mahlet (Ethiopia)
However, the criteria of selection has left very many Ugandan artistes bothered with the decision to chose Alvin Kizz over the many prominent artists in the country. Some Musicians say that there are many better artistes who would have represented in the coke studio than him.
