Quiin Abenakyo’s reign as Miss Uganda 2018-19 came with a lot of blessings. She was the first Ugandan beauty queen to ever make it to the top five during the Miss World pageant that took place in China. She was also crowned Miss World Africa But unfortunately her tenure is coming to an end because auditions to participate in this year’s event are ongoing.
Despite all this, she will go down on a high as it is confirmed that reigning Miss World Vanessa Ponce is expected to come to Uganda.
She will be coming in for six days along with her team headed by CEO Julia. They will first have a state visit, then go for the Pearl of Africa tour, do engagement in ‘Beauty With A Purpose’ projects and conclude their stay by attending the crowning of Miss Uganda 2019-2020.
“Uganda is one of the countries in the world listed among the friendliest places to visit, so we look forward to welcoming the #missworld queen and the team.” said Brenda Nanyonjo, the CEO of Miss Uganda.
Having been among the top finalists, Quiin Abenakyo became a judge’s favorite and impressed many at the grand finale. It was therefore not so surprising that Uganda was chosen among the countries they will be visiting
