Review: Irene Ntale Still Stands Strong Even After Swangz Avenue

In January last year, singer Irene Ntale broke news on her Facebook page of quitting the Muyenga based Swangz Avenue record label where she had spent 4 years. We wouldn’t be wrong to say that Swangz played a big role of nurturing Ntale’s music career a thing she personally acknowledged before and after she left the label.

Although she did not satisfactorily explain why she left, some false propaganda ran rife claiming that she had some differences with fellow Swangz Avenue Member Vinka (who was then Veronica Lugya and her manager at that)

However,  the two artistes came out to distance themselves from this allegation and as a matter of fact, to show that there was no bad blood between Swangz Avenue, Vinka and Irene Ntale, a collabo song dubbed Stylo’  between Ntale and Vinka was released which ceased the Irene Ntale-Vinka imagined beef.

Since then, despite Ntale’s critics’ propaganda with some saying it was a bad idea to quit Swangz therefore ‘she was going to lose relevance’, the ‘Stamina Daddy’ singer defied the odds and surely, without exaggeration, Ntale really had a good 2017 musically.

After Swangz, she did not join any record label(s) or camps but she rather went solo and got a new management headed by her sister Sandra Ntale who pushed her from then up to now. We shall not forget to encourage her to even do better but we also have to applaud her for the good work because in her continuing tenure (Sandra), Ntale has had successful songs that have had good radio and TV plays, on top of being among those on peoples play lists.

In no particular order, here are Irene Ntale’s songs that stood the taste of time in the year 2017.

Stamina Daddy

‘Boogie Down’  Featuring Ghanaian Ragga and Dancehall artiste Stonebwoy

Chano8 contacted Irene Ntale’s manager Sandra Ntale and here is what she said.

“It has been a challenging year especially at the start mainly because of expectations as a new manager but with time I have managed. Her first release for 2017 which was ‘Omutima Gwesibye’ did not get as much airplay however the other songs released that is ‘Kyolowoza’ and ‘Stamina Daddy’ received massive airplay topping many radio and TV charts. Her collabo with Stonebwoy also got good reviews; the video is yet to be shot

As long as you put out good music, they will always appreciate which has been the case for Irene’s music for the most part of 2017.”
