Rihanna has denied claims which suggested that she supports the Palestinian Authority after a tweet was sent out from her official account. A tweet which read, #FreePalestine was sent from the Umbrella star’s account on Monday morning.
She was questioned by several of her fans whether she supports Hamas. The tweet was later deleted after just eight minutes of appearing.
A close source to the singer said she had not intended to send it.
‘She deleted it because it was never meant to be tweeted. She didn’t even realize it was a tweet until she started hearing from her fans.’
The post was believed to have been re-tweeted 7,000 times by her followers before it was taken down.
Rihanna was apparently reading about the Israel – Gaza conflict, which was sparked off after three Israeli teenagers were murdered and a Palestinian was killed in a revenge attack.
