Ivory Namara is an upcoming multi-genre musician currently based in Kampala. She studied abroad and finally returned home to start a new life and career in music which is now getting some attention and recognition especially among the youth.
In an exclusive interview with Chano8 the soulful singer talked about the challenges she faces,
My challenges so far in the industry have been trying to keep my sound original without compromising. Being the new kid on the block, I’ve had to learn the in’s and out’s of how things are done in the UG industry all while remaining true to myself. Finding the right producers also, is tricky.
The 21 year old also talked about her future plans in the entertainment industry.
My plans are to put out a few more songs before I begin doing videos, get Uganda more familiarized with my voice. Then, get a bigger following and keep putting out great music. What I’m very excited about is working on my first album.
